The S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 0.5 per cent to 6998.3; Woodside Energy rose 1.5 per cent to $35.87 and Paladin Energy 5.8 per cent to 81.5¢.
The energy sector rallied on Tuesday as Woodside Energy reported its first interim profit result since merging with BHP petroleum, which delivered investors a better-than-expected dividend.
Uranium producers rallied too led by Paladin Energy, which rose 5.8 per cent to 81.5¢ and Bannerman Energy, which firmed 20.5 per cent to $2.35. Travel operator Helloworld narrowed its full year 2022 net loss from continuing operations to $28.8 million from $39.5 million. Total revenue from continuing operations increased 20.5 per cent to $69.3 million while the total transaction value jumped 140 per cent to $1.01 billion.
Paid customer acquisition as a percentage of sales moved up to 14.9 per cent compared with 10.8 per ent in the prior year.which takes into account customer returns and allowances.
