Staff reminded people to contact NHS 111 online or by calling 111 for advice before attending A&EA new £35m emergency department has opened its doors.that have seen extended waiting times and people being treated in corridors.
Bosses have welcomed the development but add it is not a "silver bullet" to solve problems in the county. Yet by 2019/20, the number of attendees had risen to 75,000, and continued to increase during the Covid-19 pandemic.
