The Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance , which is the union representing the workers, ran a protected-action ballot that closed last night. MEAA acting director of entertainment, crew and sport section Nikau Irvine said management should halt the vote, withdraw the offer and sit down with union members to reach an agreement."Refusal to reinstate penalty rates will continue to punish those who work on weekends.
