Former champion Gerwyn Price meets Luke Humphries in the final of the World Grand Prix at Leicester's Morningside Arena.
Price is eyeing a second double-start crown as he aims to join the elite trio of Phil Taylor, James Wade and Michael van Gerwen in achieving the feat if he can defeat Luke Humphries.'It would mean the world to me to lift another trophy,' said Price, who is without a televised ranking title since November 2021.
'I don’t particularly enjoy the double-start format, but I think I concentrate a little more and get into the zone, and sometimes the cream rises to the top!'I’m defending a lot of ranking points over the next few months, so I want to do well here and ease the pressure going into the Grand Slam and the World Championship.'It's going to be a tough game. Luke is a great player. He’s had a bit of lady-luck on his side in this tournament, as we saw with Peter missing match darts.
