Visitors can take a moment and relax

A new bakery has opened at Nottingham Railway Station offering therapeutic massages and fresh pastries. CAWA, a cafe and speciality coffee roaster, has created Platform U: where travellers can take a moment and relax.

One visitor described the experience as "the world's comfiest platform". Galyna Hayat, CAWA co-founder, said: "Whether it’s our lavish butter croissants, the luxurious real chocolate in every mocha or the secret blend of our speciality coffee, since day one we’ve been uncompromising in our desire to make extraordinary coffee and exceptional pastries accessible to everyone."CAWA opened its first location in Sheffield back in 2017.

CAWA now has five shops across the UK, but Nottingham is the first to introduce the PLATFORM U experience. Hayat continued: "For obvious economic reasons, Britain has a lot on its mind at the moment, and, in my experience, documenting my feelings, thoughts, concerns and ideas has always proved helpful."
