The Tara Air flight\u0027s destination, Jomsom, at an altitude of roughly 2,800 meters, is a popular destination for trekkers.
An army spokesman posted a photo of the crash site on Twitter on Monday that showed the shattered plane on a rocky slope strewn with what appeared to be passengers’ personal belongings and debris, including a broken wing displaying the Tara Air aircraft number 9N-AET in green lettering.
Narendra Shahi, a mountaineering guide who is working at the crash site, said the rescue effort has been hampered by frequently changing and “challenging” weather, including sudden rains.
