Thousands of Japanese living in communities during World War II were rounded up from their homes and locked in harsh prison camps.
Now, in the middle of a harsh Californian desert, one has been turned into a memorial to those it
held captive. More than a dozen camps were set up in Australia including in Cowra, west of Sydney.
