Wyre Borough Council has introduced £50 food vouchers for residents who did not get a Cost of Living payment from the DWP.
But others are still left unsure if they too can benefit from the extra support. Here's is what you need to know about the £50 food vouchers.What are the vouchers? Eligible residents living in Wyre will receive at voucher totally £50.Wyre council says the vouchers are offered as part of its Household Support Fund. The scheme is cash limited and payments will be made on a first come first served basis.
Successful applicants will receive supermarket vouchers for a supermarket of their choice. No cash alternative will be provided. Any vouchers not redeemed by the advised date will expire and no replacements will be issued. How do I apply? The criteria for applying may change depending on remaining funds, which have been provided by the Department of Working Pensions. There is a form to complete as part of the application process, which is open until March 17 or until the funding has been exhausted.
