Yorkshire Terrier duo looking for home together as they’re ‘like a married couple’
A doggy duo who have found themselves in rescue are looking for a home to take the pair on, as they’re never been apart their whole lives. Ellie and Billy are two Yorkshire Terriers who are said to be ‘like a married couple’ and are hoping to find someone who will home them together.
They’re just two of the animals that Manchester Evening News have been trying to find a home for as part of our Give A Dog A Home feature, working with animal sanctuaries across Greater Manchester, including Dogs Trust, Manchester Dogs Home, Wigan’s Makants Greyhound Rescue and now, Bleakholt, in Bury.Ellie, aged seven, and Billy, who’s eight, may not be related, but adore each other - but like most couples, have a tiff from time to time.
“They are an affectionate pair who love being stroked and petted. They enjoy being out and about and having off lead time in the garden.” If you’re interested in rehoming Ellie and Billy, Bleakholt is open to visitors from Thursday to Sunday from 11am to 4pm, with no need to book. The adoption fee is usually £175 per dog, but can sometimes be reduced for senior dogs or multiple pets, like Ellie and Billy.
