'You Quiz on the Block' apologizes for the recent broadcast accident
Jang Mi Ran, the first Korean medalist in female weightlifting, appeared on a variety talk show for the first time after retiring. In this episode, she talked about her time training as a national athlete and how she started weightlifting. She explained,"
When I was younger, I loved eating, so I started gaining weight. My mother tried to put me on a diet, but I think she gave up. My first weightlifting coach was an acquaintance of my father. And he told me I had talent." When I went to the weightlifting training center when I was in the third middle of middle school, the boys there saw me and would say I'm 'so big.' So I got hurt and left. But my parents encouraged me to go back during winter break and started training.
Jang Mi Ran also explained the endurance and perseverance she needed to train as South Korea's national weightlifting athlete. She shared,"After Jang Mi Ran's segment and before Jung Je Il's segment, 'You Quiz' came to a stop and began airing the episode that was broadcasted last week. And on the bottom of the screen, 'You Quiz' announced through a banner,"
