It can be incredibly frustrating when your freshly-painted nails get ruined before they've even had time to dry – but this beauty guru's hack should help to prevent the issue

If you're looking to save money on pricey manicures, it's always a good idea to paint your own nails.

Luckily for us, a beauty guru has shared the foolproof hack she uses to lock in her manicure. And apparently, it leaves your nails looking fresh for the entire week. Katie applies two layers of OPI nail varnish and allows the second coat to ''slightly' dry. She then dunks them into a glass filled with icy water for around 20 seconds.
