Or, might that be who we haven’t thought about until now? We are all familiar with that pressure to “catch up” with people we’d never normally have a drink with at this time of year.
“We want to return to work with a clean desk, an empty inbox and all our ducks in a row,” she says, when that’s just not compatible with reality – especially during December. “So usually what happens is, people work really, really hard and then around now, they sort of burn out and by Monday next week, they think ‘I’m not going to make it’. And they sort of collapse emotionally.”
