Police are appealing for help from the public in the urgent search for three prisoners - who all have distinctive tattoos - after escaping from a correctional facility on Sunday.

Police are seeking the assistance from the public in the search for Daniel Badcock, 32, Osiah Pilton, 20, and Antonio David Mene, 28, whose whereabouts remain unknown.

Queenslanders have been warned to stay away from the men and immediately call police if they spot any of the prisoners. He has several other inks on his body, including a skull face and wall on the left arm, skulls on his left leg and knuckle duster on his right hand.
