NRL: After 64 tough minutes, Bradman Best has scored the first try of the 2024 State of Origin decider.
Bradman Best played a key role as the NSW Blues secured a historic victory against Queensland on Wednesday night at Suncorp Stadium.
But while many were praising Best for the barnstorming try which saw him burn two Knights teammates, it was his injury that stole the attention. The sickening injury didn’t stop him from impacting the contest and wasn’t getting in his way as he spoke to NSW Blues great Paul Gallen post game.Gallen interjected: “Have you seen your lip? You should see it. It’s hangin’ off?”
It’s a stunning result for NSW to win their first Origin series since 2021 in a perfect start to Michael Maguire’s stint as head coach.
