The Australian Physiotherapy Association says it is common for young tradespeople to work through pain and put off treatment.
Ben Rosenbaum, 22, has experienced back pain throughout his career.A new study has found that young tradies tend to ignore pain and allow injuries to impact their lives.
"When it really affected my job that's when I thought, 'I've got to do something about it', because I can't live like this.""You can ask for help and change the way you do everyday jobs, and I only push myself to a certain limit" he said. "A lot of workers tend to ignore their body complaints and they don't seek advice, so they will just struggle, which will often increases the severity of the injury," she said.
Mr Sparshott said access to a physiotherapist, GP or other specialist could be limited in regional areas.'Worry about it another day'
