Police said the driver will undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing in hospital as the investigation continues.
The chaos shut Sydney Rd but VicTraffic has since confirmed one outbound lane has been re-opened just prior to the M80 Ring Rd ramps. Two left lanes remain closed and speed is set at 40km/h as emergency services remain at the scene of the serious crash.“The Department of Transport and Planning thanks motorists and passengers for their patience as emergency services conducted investigations,” VicTraffic said.
