It's Emma McKeon, Cate Campbell and the relay teams carrying Australian hopes on the final day of swimming, while the Kookaburras are looking to win through to the semi-finals by beating the Dutch. Here are the Olympic events to watch out for on day 9.

Biles, for very well publicised reasons, won't be competing in the vault and won't defend her title from Rio. American All-Around gold medalist Sunisa Lee also won't be competing in the event, with fellow American Jade Carey and Brazilian Rebecca Andrade the favourites coming in.

Despite Biles winning both the vault and all around titles in 2016, such a double is relatively rare, with the feat not achieved since 1968 before then. In addition, no vaulter has won golds in consecutive games since Věra Čáslavská won her second title in Mexico City in 1968, a streak guaranteed to continue in Tokyo.

Japan has dominated these events so far in Tokyo, with medals in skateboarding, surfing and judo. Australia has done relatively poorly over the years in these events, preferring the race against the clock.
