The man has been accused of attacking family members during a house fire.
Matthew Lee Richards, 41, was charged with five counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated arson after last Saturday's house fire at Goode Estates in Shawnee County, Kansas City.Kansas pastor and teacher Matthew Lee Richards was charged with five counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated arson over a house fire. Upon arrival, fire crews found a fire in the basement of the home and were able to quickly extinguish it.
Richards' wife and children sustained laceration injuries, leaving the mother and two of the children in hospital receiving treatment.Richards is scheduled to front court on Monday.
