As its parent company continues to undergo a period of financial bounce back, HBO Max Europe has removed Zack Snyder's Justice League without warning. The 2021 movie served as an alternate version of the 2017 DC superhero team-up, with Warner Bros. re-partnering with Snyder to allow him to assemble a cut with both unused footage, and that seen in the theatrical cut, to better fit his vision.

The removal was first noted by Twitter user @callouswayne, who swiftly expressed their frustration at the well-received alternate cut of the movie no longer being available to stream.

While a trailer's disappearance could be forgiven by even the most hardcore of Snyder fans, the full-on removal of the movie from Max makes it tougher for audiences to overlook the matter.
Given it remains on the U.S. version of the platform, it seems unlikely Zack Snyder's Justice League's removal from HBO Max Europe stems from either issue. While projects are pulled from streamers all the time, this is rarely the case for originals unless the platform no longer wants to pay to stream it, as seen with Disney+'s large library purges of Willow and many other titles.
