Zak Brown has all but issued a hands -off warning amidst the 'noise' that Lando Norris could be wanted by Mercedes and Ferrari F1
Yes, McLaren have time, but perhaps not as much as Brown seems to think.
Norris has a contract that runs through to the end of 2025 meaning McLaren have three years with the driver but unless there is a notable improvement this season, he’s going to be beginning looking around at the end of the year to see what’s out there.New team principal Andrea Stella said at the launch McLaren were “not entirely happy for what is the launch car” although he is “optimistic that it should take a good step soon”, probably at round four.
That’s not going to make for good reading for Norris, who wants race wins and World titles, although he’d probably settle for a podium or three this season.
