A Buckingham Palace insider has revealed that Prince William’s cousin Zara Tindall and her husband Mike have become a major source of support for the Wales family following Princess Catherine’s cancer diagnosis.
As the second eldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and one of Britain’s most popular royals, Zara is the most famous Windsor family member to not carry any official title.
The insider claimed that Kate and William appreciate inviting the laid back Tindalls over to give George, Charlotte and Louis a sense of “normality” during the Princess of Wales's cancer battle. “We were very lucky that we got to do it a bit our own way,” she continued, referring to her more normal upbringing with elder brother Peter Phillips on Anne’s rural Gatcombe Park estate.
Born sixth-in-line to the throne in 1981, Tindall currently sits 21st in the line of succession, below her brother Peter’s two children.
