Ukraine's President appeared to confirm his nation's long-awaited counteroffensive had begun as he asked reporters to tell Vladimir Putin his generals were 'in a positive mood.'
Speaking to reporters on Sunday, President Zelensky appeared to confirm the news after being asked for comment on Vladimir Putin's statement the counteroffensive had begun but made no progress."I will not say in detail what stage they are at."
He maintained his defiant tone when addressing Russian commentary directly, saying he felt the invading forces did not have"long left.""It is important that Russia always feels this: That they do not have long left, in my opinion." Britain's Ministry of Defence published an intelligence update on Saturday which claimed"significant Ukrainian operations" had been taking place in the previous 48 hours.
