Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visits Lysychansk and Soledar, two cities close to some of the most intense fighting between his country's troops and Russian forces, and Zaporizhzhia.
Earlier on Sunday, Mr Zelenskyy said he had visited front-line troops in the south-eastern region of Zaporizhzhia, whose governor claims that 60 per cent of the region is under Russian occupation.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with internally displaced people from Mariupol during a visit to Zaporizhzhia. Dark smoke could be seen from many kilometres away after Russia's missile attack on two outlying districts of Kyiv early on Sunday. "The Kremlin resorts to new insidious attacks. Today's missile strikes at Kyiv have only one goal — kill as many as possible," tweeted Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak.Ukraine said Russia had carried out the strike using long-range air-launched missiles fired from heavy bombers as far away as the Caspian Sea.
