Together with stylist Law Roach, Zendaya delved into Balmain’s wondrous archive for her latest look.
, they were keen to explore Balmain’s vintage offering for this year’s NAACP Image Awards. The creative director granted them exclusive access to Balmain’s archive to source a unique look, and they landed on a green and red strapless gown from the house’s 1965 couture collection, styled with sparkling Bulgari jewels for extra Old Hollywood appeal.
Zendaya’s Balmain gown isn’t her first vintage moment. Last year, she wore an ’80s YSL couture evening dress that once belonged to the legendaryto the Black Women In Hollywood Awards. At the BET Awards, she paid homage to Beyoncé in a Noughties Versace gown that the singer wore to the awards in 2003. And for Zendaya’s first official red-carpet appearance with her boyfriend Tom Holland, she wowed in an archive Roberto Cavalli gown from autumn/winter 2000.
