A 25-metre launch tower and observation platform with spiral access stairs would be built at The Springs, as well as a new three-metre-wide gravel pathway. "The slightly lower public viewing platform will be sited 19m above the ground and will be available to the public 24 hours a day to enjoy the vistas, whether they are zipping or not."The proposed zip-line has been touted by tourism entrepreneur and TAZZIP director Shane Abel as the "longest, fastest, highest zip-line in Asia-Pacific".
"After a short briefing, the zip-line riders will be geared up with harnesses and trolleys, helmets and glasses and then ascend the spiral staircase to a point 21.5m above the ground. The ride is estimated to take 1 minute and 20 seconds. "Kunanyi is not an adventure park — it is a sacred place, and we will not allow it to be disrespected for commercial gain.Photo shows View from an elevated tower where two people are on a zipline.
