Zynga's San Mateo headquarters is roughly one-third the size of its former San Francisco office, which it vacated last year.
The move comes as Zynga was acquired for $12.7 billion in May by New York-based Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. .optimize"employees' ability to produce leading mobile games and maintain a positive work-life balance." Close to 60% of the office's working space is designated for collaboration: It includes shared and individual workstations, private phone and focus rooms, and 77 meeting rooms of varying sizes.
"This new office space is designed to connect our people, teams and communities with the flexibility they need to thrive while doing their best work," said Ken Stuart, Zynga's vice president of workplace experience."Connected Workplace reformulates how we are making Zynga a great place to work today and in the future."
The close to 260,000-square-foot building that houses Zynga's San Mateo headquarters was acquired by anwas listed for sale this summer, with real estate services firm JLL handling the listing. Multiple sources have confirmed that offers received for the property came in significantly below the roughly $275 million asking price, and that the listing has since been pulled. I've reached out to J.P. Morgan for comment and will update this story once I hear back.
