Minjee Lee leads Scottish open early | 01:40Australian golfer Jason Day shot a three-under 67 in the second round of the St. Jude Championship to improve his chances of qualifying for next week’s BMW Championship.
Lee started with two birdies and three bogeys on the front nine to slip down the leaderboard before recovering with three birdies. He recovered with a birdie on the par-3 eighth and showed the same resilience when he bogeyed the 12th and immediately birdied on the next hole.“I putted well. I hit a lot of good iron shots. Bounced back nicely after a couple of the bogeys I had. Everything felt really solid today.”“I don’t want to divulge too much. It’s bothering me, and I’ve been able to do enough the last few days to push through it,” he said.
Matsuyama is looking for his 10th win on the PGA Tour and his second of this season following his victory at the Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles in February.
