Ollie Davies set to make a statement | 02:56Emerging leg-spinner Grace Parsons snared three wickets, including the prized scalp of West Indies star Hayley Matthews , as Brisbane Heat secured back-to-back WBBL wins at the expense of the Melbourne Renegades .
The Renegades were cruising at 0-51 before 21-year-old Parsons struck twice in the sixth over, dismissing Matthews and English star Alice Capsey in the space of four balls. They battled on for their remaining six overs but the game was well beyond their reach as they finished at 9-141 thanks mainly to a late cameo from Naomi Stalenberg, who top-scored for the visitors with 38 off 23 balls.
Matthews and Sophie Molineux each took two wickets for the Renegades, who also suffered a weekend loss to the Sydney Sixers.Heat opener Grace Harris only faced two balls – the fourth and fifth deliveries of the match bowled by her Australian T20 World Cup teammate Molineux.
