Accompanied by her husband, retired Royal Navy officer Sir Timothy Laurence, 70, the Princess received a formal military welcome at Government House before meeting Governor-General Sam Mostyn at Admiralty House for a smoking ceremony and welcome to Country. The following day, Anne, often dubbed the"hardest working royal", attended a remembrance service and centenary parade as part of her duties as Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, marking its 100th anniversary. Later, meeting the Governor-General, Anne re-wore another favourite ensemble: a cream and gold silk suit dress fastened with three side buttons, accessorised with a golden wreath brooch, her Corps medallion and a poppy for Remembrance Day. The outfit was last seen during her 2022 visit to Papua New Guinea for the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
