Queensland star Selwyn Cobbo has been tipped to wreak havoc on the Blues as a late impact player amid a “small concern” within camp the Maroons’ outside backs are slightly underdone.
Although Maroons coach Billy Slater was tight-lipped on who will be in his starting lineup, it’s expected Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Murray Taulagi and Xavier Coates will all be named, leaving Cobbo on the benched.reporter David Riccio believes the trio’s injury struggles at various stages of the season could come back to bite in Game I.And should one of them be feeling a little niggle late in the contest, it opens the door for a fresh Cobbo to run the Blues ragged.
“There is a fear that such is the speed and ferocity of State of Origin, that one of those three could be starting to feel the pinch in the back end of the match.Cobbo has been in impressive form for the Brisbane Broncos this season in a handful of different positions.
