It’s good news for Haas, which is competing to stay ahead of RB for sixth in the constructors championship. But Bearman’s seamless substitution will have put minds at the team at ease that this weekend can still be a productive one, with another chance for lucrative points. Max Verstappen immediately fell foul of the rules at the Singapore Grand Prix, where the stewards slapped him with a community service order for describing his car as “f***ed” during the Thursday press conference.
