The snowbirds, both in their mid-70s, were traveling from Florida back home to the posh Westchester County suburb when they made a pit stop at the hotel, which is now called the Royal Inn. The husband and wife registered at the hotel and unpacked some of their belongings before heading out — never to be seen again.
