Some heroes and villains are so hard to kill in the MCU that they come across as virtually immortal. What does it take to bring them down for good?
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Despite not being a true god or goddess, some MCU characters are so hard to kill that they’re basically immortal. In Marvel’s world, there are few heroes and villains who are truly invincible, as nearly everyone has at least one enemy capable of bringing them down. But for those characters, it’s not often that they encounter someone strong enough to penetrate their defenses.
What’s more, the Hulk isn’t even vulnerable as Bruce Banner. As Banner said himself in The Avengers, he discovered firsthand that a bullet to the head isn’t enough to rid the world of the Hulk. Attacking Bruce Banner may feel like the one surefire way to eliminate the Hulk permanently, but the character instinctively transforming into the Green Goliath whenever his life is at risk leaves his enemies with few weaknesses to exploit.
7 Deadpool The Merc With a Mouth doesn’t have the benefit of an adamantium skeleton, but is similarly durable. Played by Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool has a healing factor that’s actually superior to Wolverine. He heals faster and can regenerate from all sorts of situations that would be fatal for anyone else. Because of this, Deadpool is virtually immortal and someone characters as strong as Thor, Thanos, and Hulk would be hard-pressed to kill in battle.
4 Abomination Transformed from an imperfect variation of the super soldier serum that created Captain America, Emil Blonsky a.k.a. Abomination is both immensely strong and incredibly durable. That’s not surprising, considering that any character renowned as Hulk’s greatest enemy would have to be both. After a brutal showdown that lasted several minutes, Abomination finally fell to Hulk, who emerged as the stronger of the two.
