Glasgow has always boasted great pubs and bars - and while we've lost a number over the years, they are certainly not forgotten.
Burns Howff A huge number of respondents named the Burns Howff as the one place they'd love to see reinstated. Dating back to the 1870s, the Iron Horse was previously called The Empire Bar and was often packed to the gunnels before and after shows.Cafe Cini Renfield Street's Cafe Cini was another city centre establishment that was a popular meeting place for generations of Glaswegians. Opened in the 1960s, the café and bar, which was latterly owned by former footballer Charlie Nicholas, thrived for decades before closing permanently in the 2000s.
Jedi Bar Glasgow's legendary Star Wars-themed boozer the Jedi Bar was another popular suggestion from Glasgow Live readers.
