The Cumberland County Human Trafficking Task Force announced the arrest of fifteen men as part of a joint operation called Impact Demand VI.
This arrest was made after an investigation lead by the Hampden Township Police in conjunction with the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office and the Sheriff's Department. According to the District Attorney's office, Operation Impact Demand and its counterpart, Operation "Close to Trafficking", were established to target illegal commercial sex establishments posing as massage parlors. Both of these operations are part of an overall strategy to drive Commercial Sexual Exploitation traffickers out of Cumberland County.
According to District Attorney McCormack, this is the sixth operation since the beginning of the operations in 2022, resulting in 60 arrests total.
