2 injured in shooting near Harrisburg playground: police

Harrisburg police said Dauphin County Probation officers were the first to hear the shots in the area of the Emerald Street Playground on Tuesday evening.

Becky Metrick | [email protected] PD Lt. Kyle Gautsch said around 6:15 p.m. Dauphin County Probation reported hearing gunshots in the area of North Fourth and Emerald streets. The Emerald Street Playground is in the area.

Harrisburg police officers, along with probation officers, canvassed the area but did not find any victims. Shortly after, two gunshot victims arrived at a hospital, Gautsch said. One adult and one boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting.Read more on PennLive:
