The Herald Sun’s Caleb Bond says Qantas is in a “serious hole” with nine in every 1,000 bags being mishandled.

One plan to tackle the issue is to lengthen passengers’ transfer times between domestic and international flights from 60 to 90 minutes.

“I don’t think adding 30 minutes to the situation is going to make them save any more bags, just get yourselves in order,” Mr Bond told Sky News host Chris Smith.

Mr Glasgow said this was a benefit to China’s harsh policy of controlling Taiwan by force if necessary as it “increases the support of other liberal democracies around the world”. “There was a massive tantrum about Speaker Pelosi’s visit but throughout this year there’s been congressional delegations coming through here,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “They’re becoming more and more routine as Washington’s signalling to Beijing they are concerned about the situation.”
