‘The devil’s in the detail’: Peta Credlin dissects gender pay gap data
Sky News host Peta Credlin has pointed out that the “devil's in the detail” following today’s headlines"screaming" about a 19 per cent gender pay gap.
“Hearing that, on average, women earn 19 per cent less than men, seems to confirm the leftist prejudice about a society riddled with unfair discrimination," she said.“And these statistics are not comparing apples with apples across a profession, let's say. It's about pay within a company." Ms Credlin explained the data out from the federal government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency and why the headlines are “not what they seem”.
