A “tsunami” of alcohol and drugs will pour into communities on the cashless debit card should the Albanese Labor government repeal the policy, Shadow Social Services Minister Michael Sukkar says.
“Which is going to lead to the devastating consequences of more anti-social behaviour, more domestic violence, more neglect of children,” Mr Sukkar said.
“I wish we weren’t having this fight … I just don’t know how the Labor Party can live with themselves in removing the cashless debit card from these very vulnerable communities.”
