After Covid put a stop to enjoying fashion trends over the past few years the vibe on the spring/summer 2022 was still an optimistic one, offering an eclectic mix of what the post-pandemic world wants right now- and most importantly how they want to dress.
As much as there were fabulously sassy looks for going out out, sequins sexy cut out detailing, and micro minis were a bit hit for evening-wear designers also realised the importance of offering up fuss-free aesthetics too. Pieces that are practical, comfortable and can be flung on in a hurry it appears are also what us shoppers want.
'Dopamine dressing' a praise coined over the pandemic is also here to stay, yippee! Think bold brights worn head to toe on those days you are feeling a little glum. It's amazing what the power of colour can do. There's also a sense of nostalgia this season as designers looked to era's gone for inspiration, think retro accessories and bold wallpaper prints that make a fun statement whatever the occasion.
But, the brilliant thing about this season? You can really be whatever you want to be, and embrace fashion once again!
