The girl has been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
A nine-year-old girl is in hospital after being hit by a car while walking to school on the Gold Coast today.
She suffered head injuries following the incident at Pimpama shortly before 8.30am on Friday and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.Police say the girl was trying to cross a road at the intersection of Dixon Drive and Augusta Boulevard when she was hit.Traffic was originally diverted from the area but has now returned to normal.
Police investigations are continuing and anyone who has dash-camera vision of the area at the time is advised to contact officers.
