Emergency services are searching for the child after four people were found clinging to trees when their cars were swept away near Tullamore, 90 kilometres north-west of Parkes in the state's Central West.

Police say two cars were travelling along McGrane Way near Tullamore at about 8pm on Friday night when they became trapped in floodwaters.The five-year-old child remains missing and police are waiting to access the submerged vehicles.Tullamore is about 90km north-west of Parkes. Across NSW, there are 19 flood warnings in place and the State Emergency Service [SES] has conducted five flood rescues overnight.The Namoi River passed the major flood level on Friday night, and is currently at 8.21 meters and rising.The SES said the river could reach 8.30 meters, which may impact Gunnedah Airport.
