He's now helping others grieve
After the sudden death of his father in 2016, Simon Greaves regularly visited his local cemetery to see his dad's gravestone and pay his respects.
The 30-year-old then shared the results within the family and after being praised for his handiwork, realised it could be a future career.Simon set up Memorial Cleaning in May 2018. At the time of launching his business, the profession was relatively unheard of. He said: "Everywhere I looked, or I tried to dig into a bit of information of what they did, nobody has ever really made it.
Simon was with his father when he was taken into hospital after passing away at home. He said: "Because that was instant and I never expected it, because he was only 45, it has even seven years on, I still think, did it really happen?Describing him as a jokey person, Simon said his dad was even making jokes about his own death on the day he passed away.
