CALABASAS — Calabasas wide receiver Aaron Butler had a monster night and quarterback Alonso Contreras accounted for four touchdowns as they led the Coyotes to a 48-28 victory over visiting Oak Park on Friday night, avenging a one-point loss from last season.
Calabasas’ defense helped seal the victory by forcing three turnovers, two of them on Oak Park’s last two possessions of the game. The Coyotes also sacked Oak Park quarterback Johnny Fulmer four times. Contreras finished 16-of-22 passing for 344 yards with three touchdown passes and also ran for a touchdown.
Calabasas added third-quarter touchdowns on a Caleb Yang 9-yard run and a scoring pass from Contreras to Adam Geukens, while Fulmer threw his third touchdown pass of the night to receiver Ethan Abergel as Calabasas took a 28-21 lead into the fourth quarter.
