Abby Dowling drives an over-sized RAM ute and says the most common question from curious onlookers is about how much fuel it chews up. The bookkeeper, who lives at Merimbula on the NSW South Coast, says the red RAM 1500 Warlock model attracts admirers from many walks of life. “We get a lot of questions about fuel consumption . People are surprised, because they’re actually quite fuel efficient”.

She also tries to park away from busy areas, not just because the six-metre-long vehicle takes up more than one spot, but more because the Warlock sports model is so visually appealing. “You don’t want your car to get scratched.
