“Independents’ Day, as it was titled, purported to go ‘behind the scenes with some of the independent women who defied the odds and defeated high profile politicians from the two major political parties’,” he said.“I get that the rise of the independents is very exciting for all of these ABC journalists as they effectively campaigned alongside them during the election.

“But that doesn’t mean you should abandon all journalistic integrity and spend taxpayer dollars producing a gushing profile piece in what is supposed to be an investigative program.”
