Christian Spuck’s production of Verdi’s Messa da Requiem, which will be the operatic centrepiece of the 2023 Adelaide Festival.It will feature dancers from the Ballett Zurich, which Spuck has directed for a decade, alongside 160 local singers and musicians from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the Adelaide Festival Chorus.
Soloists will include acclaimed tenor Paul O’Neill, soprano Eleanor Lyons, mezzo soprano Caitlin Hulcup and bass Pelham Andrews.- in which social distancing between performers is obviously impossible - has been a huge hit in Europe since its 2016 premiere.
