The two-year program was not compulsory, but Narev personally wrote to all 50 top executives describing the course and why the company wanted them to take part. Once the executives opted in, they had to attend every session. They had to write to Narev personally to explain why they would miss a single session.Seek is planning to extend a version of the course for the next group of 60 leaders, while the original group will receive ongoing support, including updated 360-degree assessments.
Even so, feedback scores have jumped to 84.6 from 76.3 in 2021 as a result of the additional training. Another area that has improved is connection, Shimota says, with initiatives to make staff feel more connected including changing the times of meetings that involved US and Australian employees to make it easier for Australian staff to attend.
Since making the employee handbook publicly available, the increase in the number of job applicants has been “wild”, Herbert says.
