Over 350,000 customers are travelling through Sydney with Qantas and Jetstar this weekend at a time when COVID-19 cases are rapidly rising across the nation.outbreak are being felt across the entire sector, with worker shortages at the airport due to staff isolation leading to blown-out delays and long queues.Sydney Airport staff shortages are expected to cause havoc as school holidays come to an end and thousands return home.
Qantas has reported that 85 per cent of their flights have left within an hour of their scheduled departure time. As airport delays continue during busy periods, airlines are warning customers to arrive two hours before flying domestic, and three hours before flying overseas.
