Albanese's move to reinstate the $750 payments at a massive cost to the taxpayer speaks to his inability to say no - something he needs to learn how to do if he wants to be a true leader, writes Caroline Di Russo.

Inflation and energy security were front and centre overseas but were yet to be pressing issues on our political agenda.

I’m firmly of the school of thought that leaders are born not made. Leadership styles can be refined and polished but you are either, in essence, a leader or you’re not. Just yesterday, Treasurer, Jim Chalmers, described Australia’s economic conditions as ‘confronting’. If that is the case, then the day is fast approaching when Albanese is going to have to say no to someone who wants ice cream.The events of last week don’t give me hope though.
